Understanding The Innocent

The archetype is a motivation and a role in the customer’s life, not a collection of decorative traits.

The Innocent sells safety. No fine print, no tricks, no reason to be on guard. Customers choose you because it is simple, and because they never regret it.

“This is safe. I know what I am getting.”
Customer feeling

Suits businesses where customers need to relax and trust you: food and health, children and family, everyday services where people want one thing that just works.

Different ways the archetype can appear

The Optimist

Shows what can go right.

The Purist

Removes noise and protects what is genuine.

The Reliable One

Delivers the same good work every time.

The shadow side

A strong archetype includes its own warning. The same energy that creates distinction can become a liability when exaggerated.

Naivety, denial, a childish tone or simplicity that hides a lack of substance.

Verbal identity

Tone

Friendly, sincere, bright and concrete.

“A good choice. No surprises.”

Do this

  • Uses plain words
  • Explains terms clearly
  • Promises only what can be kept

  • Irony
  • Fear-based selling
  • Fine print
